Eumocream has a unique formulation that concentrates the moisturising activity, without being greasy. This makes it ideal for areas of dry, sensitive itchy skin. Eumocream works deep in the skin to replenish moisture and the oils (lipids) that help hold the moisture within the skin. Eumocream concentrated rehydration cream is easily absorbed and long-lasting.

What does Eumocream do?
Dry skin is more than a cosmetic problem. Dry skin lacks the moisture and fats (lipids) that act as the mortar in a defensive wall. This wall protects against substances that can irritate or provoke an allergic reaction - leading to skin flare-up. Eumobase has a dermatological formula which had been created to help restore moisture to dry skin. This formula replaces water lost from the skin to help it stay soothed, supple and protected all day long
 
 
INGREDIENTS
Aqua: the international term for water.
Glycerin: the high concentration of this important emollient ingredient helps provide the high moisturising effect of Eumocream
Glyceryl stearate: an ingredient that helps oily ingredients to mix with water to form a cream, it also has its own emollient properties.
Cetearyl alcohol: a cream is technically called an emulsion - microscopic droplets of oil suspended in water. This ingredient helps keep the emulsion stable.
PEG-100 stearate: also helps keep the emulsion stable.
Synthetic beeswax: natural beeswax has been a valuable emollient ingredient in ointments and creams for centuries, but occasionally can cause an allergic reaction. Synthetic beeswax is purer and so reduces this possibility.
Dimethicone: a barrier ingredient to help strengthen the skin's defences.
Citric acid and Sodium citrate: Together they adjust the pH balance of Eumocream.
4-Chloro-m-cresol: acts as a preservative for the cream.

 I used eumobase for the first time as I get red patches of eczema on my face and shoulders. The first thing I noticed was that the redness quickly became less angry. Also I was surprised how far the cream spread, as I only needed to put a small amount on my fingers.

 Thank goodness I discovered eumobase. I am never without it now, and even carry a tube around in my hand bag as I never know when I am going to get my next flare up. I would recommend it to anyone that has dry itchy skin.

EUMOCREAM LICENSED TO TREAT

 

 

 GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has gained a GSL licence for Eumocream, a medicinal product with the same formulation as the cosmetic product Eumobase.  ‘Eumocream’ is considered to be a more consumer friendly and recognisable brand name.

The new license allows more compelling claims to be used on pack and Eumocream with 25% w/w glycol  is now described as a non-steroid, hydrating treatment cream specially formulated to moisturise dry, sensitive, itchy skin, including skin prone to eczema and dermatitis.

Eumocream can be used as an ongoing treatment on all areas of the body, including the face, to help moisturise and protect the skin.  If a flare up of eczema or dermatitis does occur, it is recommended that a product containing corticosteroid,  such as Eumovate,  - which contains clobetasone butyrate - is used.

New packs have been introduced to reflect the new licence, the name change and new claims, although the essence of the previous packs has been retained for easy consumer identification. Eumocream, which will be phased in from mid-October, will be available as previously in 30g tubes at £3.99 and 100g tubes at £6.49 (RSP Recommended Selling Price only).
